Times. They are a-changing

This New Years weekend the hubby and I decided to watch the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I was pumped. It was going to be awesome! Tears and joy and beer. Fellowship was amazing. I had truly forgot how wonderful that movie truly is. It was stunning and moving. Everything it was the very 1st I saw it. Movie watching perfection. Next: The Two Towers. AMAZING! I had always slightly ignored Two Towers for the simple and stupid fact that it was the middle chapter. I've done that with most trilogies, I don't know why. I love it now though. It's exactly as is should be. I absolutely adore it now. Finally, we came to the final chapter. Return of The King was my favorite. I saw it on my 18th birthday which now seems completely impossible that I was so young...or so old. I'm not sure which. I was a wreck. Tears started 10 minutes in and remained really for the whole film. I loved it more than anything I had ever seen. I loved it every time I watched it. This viewing however....is it me? Have I grown up? Or is it just truly a bit dragging and dull at times. Not all of it, barely any of it really, except for when a certain Hobbit two-some turn up. Meaning these two:

Now, I will admit Frodo and Sam are wonderful. Elijah and Sean are too cute and do such a great job with their characters. It's once they get to the path of Cirith Ungol that I just can't stand it anymore. I don't care what happens to them! at all. After that point every time it switches to their scenes I want to fast forward past it. It's boring and drags and drives me crazy. Then I end up feeling guilty for doing so. I am a Purvey Hobbit Fancier to my very core but MY GOD! I couldn't do it. I care more about whats going on with everyone else more than I care what happens to the Ring, The Ring bearer, His buddy and that god damn crazy traumatized gimp that's been stalking them in his fitly underwear for ten years! I love ROTK and I love it more when I cheat and not watch the Sam and Frodo stuff from Shelob on. Because when it comes right down to it now, This is the one story line that I love the most. Almost more than Merry and Pippin. It's Eowyn and Faramir:
