The Future....

I certainly am not ready for a Zombie attack. I do however fear the possiblity of a Zombie Appocyplse. In fact I find only one of two likely outcomes. The 1st is the fairly obvious nuclear war type deals. But I honsetly find the Zombie outcome far more likely. I don't know why, I just do. I bought a zombie survial guide book. I told the hubby it was a joke but I take the whole thing pretty damn seriously. I practiacally take notes while watching The Walking Dead on AMC. I will admit though I have come up with a nessasary survial item that really isn't mentioned: The Water Filter Straw! clean water without having to stop and boil it, look for fast streams. It puts a stop to the waiting around and get eatten things. At least in the water department any way. We all know however the number one item you need in ANY appocylpes: The slightly dirty, a little bit torn but no where near falling apart cable knit sweater. That part is a joke. but that's the only joke.

My New Fanfiction

Damon & Elena
The Vampire Diaries

Ian Somerhadler, the crush that should have happened sooner

I realize now how unfair it was to ignore Boone Carlyle. We missed some great times together. Maybe it was because Shannon was so awful. Maybe the whole I-slept-with-my-sister-but-it's-not-creepy-because-we're-not-blood-related thing really bothered me because it was stupid. They were like the less dumb Nikki and Paolo. But even that is an unfair assessment of him as well. Perhaps its just that Damon Salvatore is a much better role. He's clean 95% of the time. Okay he's still sometimes covered in blood. 60% of those times at least it's not his own. So there's that. Any way I haven't had a brand new giant crush like this in awhile. That heart wrenching look at every picture read more fanfiction than I really should be able to get my hands on. I hate Lost fanfiction. So much so I have never read a single one. Can't read LOTR fanfiction either. These are two stead fast rules that I live by, and live by very well. The Vampire Diaires should suck and I'm sure really it does, but that hasn't stopped me before and it sure as hell won't stop me now.

Considering An Anti-Social Plan B

We're going out with friends tonight and I am really looking forward to it except my nice dark jeans are a little bit tigter than I really want them to be. I washed them yesturday and I should have slept in them and wore them all day. they have that slightly tight clean feeling, which makes my butt looks great I just have to pull them on while lying down and then I have to suck in my gut all night until they lossen up. It's really just making me want to stay home and eat cookie dough all night.

Before Night Falls a film from 2000. Johnny Depp plays Bon Bon a transvestite prison guard.

Must be shared

Adventures in Beer

I have been on a beer adventure of late. I am amassing a collection of favorites. Expanding the palate if you will. I am found some excellent ones so far. I thank my fellow blogger Caroline for the Mix-A-Six reminder. I had never thought about doing that until she had mentioned it in a post of her own. Its an easy way to try a good selection of things. The next investment is a official beer journal to write down my discoveries so they can be shared with future generations. Lately though I have been feeling like going back to an old favorite. The fool proof and tasty Black and Tan. It's a classic. I usually only have it as a summer drink but its time for an exception.

Two more for the fandom

1st Elena and Damon from The Vampire Diaries. I said I wasn't going to like it but I do. and these two so completely and utterly need to be together.
And 2nd. Dean Winchester from Supernatural. another show I avoided for a very long time but morning re-runs on TNT changed my mind. This is not a ship he's just too cute and wonderful to be ignored. Good ole' Deany!

Love on the Beach

I am remembering
Sunsets and blue skies
And your eyes
Gazing into mine
I am remembering
Gentle warm breezes
And sweet kisses
As your lips met mine
I am remembering
The sounds of ocean waves
As you whispered sweet nothings
into my ears
I am remembering
Pitch black nights and your soft sighs
As your thighs met mine
I am remembering
Love as it was
Love on the beach

Second Home

If I ever had the money for a second house it would look just like this one. It would be only one story with a small bedroom with a huge bed and a vintage vanity. A living room with a giant built in bookshelf. There would be a kitchen in the back with a fancy stove and wooden counter tops. there would be a round table with four chair in a little nook that had window that looked out onto Rhode Island Sound.

Organic Writing

I have been working on a fanfiction for awhile now and the way I am writing it makes me realize that I should go about writing something of my original idea the same way. I write like one page at a time. I just let it come to me a write it organically. Its actaully really enjoyable to write that way. Now I just have to finish off the fanficiton so I can get it out of my head. Can't have too many things rattling around in my head or else I can't focus. Or perhaps thats just an excuse....we shall see.

I wonder if I'll ever find another book series like Harry Potter again. There are a few that I love to read and devourer them, but none have effected me as much as those damn Harry Potter books. I was completely and utterly invested in those books. When I would get the newest one I would read it cover to cover for as long as took me. Staying up all night and deep into the morning if I had to. I hope I get to have that again. No matter how unhealthly that amount of not sleeping is.

Have I gone mad?

I saw this and couldn't not buy it. I have never been more pleased with a purchase than I am right now. Perhaps I am too pleased with little things, but if one were to add up all the wonderful little things that have ever happened and put all those things into a bottle that you could drink from whenever you were feeling sad or in need of a little thing. Not to say that the big things aren't pleasing, its just the little things seem to happen...
Hatter!
-fez- I'm fine.

Alice and Tarrant

A falling star fell from your hear and landed in my eyes
i screamed aloud as it tore through them its left me blind
The stars the moon they have all been blown out You've left me in the dark
No dawn no day i'm always in this twilight
in the shadow of your heart
And in the dark I can hear you heartbeat
I tried to find the sound, but then it stopped and I was in the darkness and so the darkness I became.
The stars the moon they have all been blown out you've left me in the dark no dawn no day i'm alwasys in this twilight in the shadow your heart
I took the stars from oureyes and then i made a map and knew that somehow I could find my way back Then I heard your heart beating you were in the darkness too so I stayed in the darkness with you.
The stars, the moon they have all been blown out
You've left me in the dark
No dawn, no day I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your hear

Jules Verne's The Myserious Island

This is the current book I'm reading. It's very good, and extremely interesting. There are so many things that remind of Lost which make it even better. There are defiantly some signs that Damon and Carlton read this book. No doubt about it really. I highly recommend this book. it's detailed, mysterious, intriguing and hard to put down for very long. I haven't finished it yet, so I'll let you know how it all turns out. This is a Map of the aforementioned Mysterious Island:

The edition I am reading is a new translation done by Jordan Stump in 2001. This is the edition you should get acording the the jacket and the introduction.

I'm running out of room

I have such a crush on Jackson Rathbone. I was suppose to hate the Twilight series. I suppose I kind of do...and yet, I can't get enough of it. I am indeed a screaming fangirl at heart. So yet another celebrity crush is added to my list. *sigh*

Keep Calm & Have a Cupcake

I quit keeping a journal when I moved in with my husband. It had nothing to do with some degree of less privacy or out of fear that he would read it. I have recently re-read my college journal. I am surprised of how self serving and completely untrue some of the entries were. I actually threw out my post-high school journal. I tore out my favorite entries but there was so much in there that I would much rather completely forget about. It was a black hole in my book shelf. It had to go. I have my junior and senior year journals, of which I am very proud. It's all true, and very honest. Maybe I'll start another one. The more important thing really would be to actaully write something novel-esque. Someday hopefully soon, I will organize that ideas rattling around my skull and put them down on paper, or screen

"Who cares how time advances? I am drinking ale today." - Edgar Allan Poe

I have such a love of beer now. Not in a snobbish way but in a great appreciation way. I love how it tastes, looks, the way it catches the light when you hold it up. The smell of a fresh pint from the tap. I like the ring you some times get around the bottom on a coaster. I like drinking with people and trying new types. I thought I was picky about it but to some extent I'll drink anything. Ales and IPA's are my favorites. I like bitters too. and Lagers. Wheat based I go back and forth on. But pour me a pint of anything, and I will be happy. alright maybe not ANYTHING but that is a pretty typical beer snob list. I like cider too, but thats a post for another day.
