"Who cares how time advances? I am drinking ale today." - Edgar Allan Poe

I have such a love of beer now. Not in a snobbish way but in a great appreciation way. I love how it tastes, looks, the way it catches the light when you hold it up. The smell of a fresh pint from the tap. I like the ring you some times get around the bottom on a coaster. I like drinking with people and trying new types. I thought I was picky about it but to some extent I'll drink anything. Ales and IPA's are my favorites. I like bitters too. and Lagers. Wheat based I go back and forth on. But pour me a pint of anything, and I will be happy. alright maybe not ANYTHING but that is a pretty typical beer snob list. I like cider too, but thats a post for another day.

Drinkin' shampian to forget yesturday cuz I remeber the way the way it ended the day

I'm still waiting for that awful painful, heart attack inducing, nail bitting, hole punched in my chest, heartbroken feeling to pass. I was so emotionally spent after all the work My boys put into the games against Slovina and Alegria. I was so crushed when we lost to Ghana. I felt that the wieght of all nearly converted soccer fans was on my shoulders. I still can't believe were out of the World Cup. Its depressing. Plus I know if we hadn't had TWO bloody goals disallowed the drive might have been there for longer. We were just so tired. We had so much to fight for though. If Bob Bradley had put the starting line-up that works in first instead of pulling Clark 30 minutes AND if we didn't practically make ourselves have to come from behind EVER SINGLE GOD DAMN TIME!!!!!! (URGH!) Things might have been better. *sigh* And England sucked this year and New Zealand was awesome. Tied all of thier games which is awesome for a team ranked like 78th or something like that. Australia just could not get it together. Not that the bullshit red cards helped. *sigh* No more anglo teams left. very sad.

I want to be pop

I have been watching The Neistat Brothers on HBO. Well they've only had three episodes but I really like it. If you haven't watched it watch it! and here's a web site: www.hbo.com/#/the-neistat-brothers
It has really been making me want to carry my camera around with me everywhere. It also makes me less ashamed of my camera since most of thier flims are shot on handhelds and iPhones. It does however make me extremely ashamed of my lack of camera skills. But I suppose the more I use it the better I will become.

Tattoo ideas

I've had a bit of inspiration and thus I shall post my ideas for possible tattoos that I love to get but most likely will not:

Rorschach's symbol from Watchmen. This is deffantly my number one choice.

or the New Zealand Football logo. I love New Zealand and I LOVE football. and it looks pretty damn cool. It would just be the feather though.
That's pretty much it. simple and black.

"For Paris is a moveable feast.." Ernest Hemingway

"The blue-backed notebooks, two pencils and the pencil sharpener (a pocket knife was too wasteful), The marble-topped tables, the smell of early morning, sweeping out and mopping, and luck were all you needed...
Then you would hear someone say, "Hi, Hem. What are you trying to do? Write in a cafe?"
Your luck had run out and you shut the notebook. This was the worst thing that could happen. IF you could keep your temper it would be better but I was not good at keeping mine then and said, "You rotten son of a bitch what are you doing in here off your filthy beat?"

That was an excerpt from one of my favorite books. A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway. He is interrupted by Ezra Pound, who is apparently a bit of an obnoxious ass. I love this book and it makes me want to be a better writer and go to Paris in the spring. It also really makes me miss my father. The book in thus wonderful and bitter sweet.

Time to become a Luddite

I am starting to really hate technology. there are just a few things left that I need to get before I turn into a complete Luddite; At least towards newer technology.
-Stereo System(with a tape player and hook up for a record player)
-Mp3 Player(with a hookup for in the car)
That's it. I had wanted a Wii for the WiiFit but no. I'm done. no more technology. I keep buying Cd-R's that don't work. Literally. A whole 30 pack and it burns nothing but data. OR it says its burned, all the music data is there but it won't play it. I buy them for music and they refuse to work. Maxwell, Memorex, TDX, Fuji, nothing. they all don't work. Sometimes they do work. Frankly that makes it bloody worse. *sigh* I hate to say it but all our music I think is going to have to go completely digital. I have been fighting against it but, there's nothing else for it. I will however NEVER EVER get a digital book. so not happening. for 10 years at least
