Jules Verne's The Myserious Island

This is the current book I'm reading. It's very good, and extremely interesting. There are so many things that remind of Lost which make it even better. There are defiantly some signs that Damon and Carlton read this book. No doubt about it really. I highly recommend this book. it's detailed, mysterious, intriguing and hard to put down for very long. I haven't finished it yet, so I'll let you know how it all turns out. This is a Map of the aforementioned Mysterious Island:

The edition I am reading is a new translation done by Jordan Stump in 2001. This is the edition you should get acording the the jacket and the introduction.

Granite Hall

This is a penny candy and more store right up the road from my grandparent's house in Round Pond Maine. This is the greatest place on earth and I am very sad no to being seeing it this year.

I'm running out of room

I have such a crush on Jackson Rathbone. I was suppose to hate the Twilight series. I suppose I kind of do...and yet, I can't get enough of it. I am indeed a screaming fangirl at heart. So yet another celebrity crush is added to my list. *sigh*

Keep Calm & Have a Cupcake

I quit keeping a journal when I moved in with my husband. It had nothing to do with some degree of less privacy or out of fear that he would read it. I have recently re-read my college journal. I am surprised of how self serving and completely untrue some of the entries were. I actually threw out my post-high school journal. I tore out my favorite entries but there was so much in there that I would much rather completely forget about. It was a black hole in my book shelf. It had to go. I have my junior and senior year journals, of which I am very proud. It's all true, and very honest. Maybe I'll start another one. The more important thing really would be to actaully write something novel-esque. Someday hopefully soon, I will organize that ideas rattling around my skull and put them down on paper, or screen

"Who cares how time advances? I am drinking ale today." - Edgar Allan Poe

I have such a love of beer now. Not in a snobbish way but in a great appreciation way. I love how it tastes, looks, the way it catches the light when you hold it up. The smell of a fresh pint from the tap. I like the ring you some times get around the bottom on a coaster. I like drinking with people and trying new types. I thought I was picky about it but to some extent I'll drink anything. Ales and IPA's are my favorites. I like bitters too. and Lagers. Wheat based I go back and forth on. But pour me a pint of anything, and I will be happy. alright maybe not ANYTHING but that is a pretty typical beer snob list. I like cider too, but thats a post for another day.
